Technical FAQs

 


  1. Information Required to be submitted to AzDPS:

  • The date, time and place of the receipt of the scrap metal.

  • An identifying description of the specific scrap metal received including weight and amount of the transaction or other consideration given.

  • A description of the person delivering the metal to the scrap metal dealer including the name, the person's gender, height, weight, race and hair and eye color, address, and date of birth and a photocopy of a current driver license, non-operating identification licensed issued pursuant to Section 28-3165 or photo identification card issued by a tribal government or the united states military.

  • The number and state of issuance of the license on the vehicle used to deliver the scrap metal.

  1. MUST have a First and Last name regardless if it is on the Drivers License.

  2. Information MUST be submitted within 24 hours of the transaction.

  3. If interpretation of the law is required, you need to contact your local PD.

  4. Local PD for your area will have access to the information submitted to AzDPS and will enforce the law not AzDPS.
